{"id":9182,"date":"2016-11-10T08:54:23","date_gmt":"2016-11-10T13:54:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/arts\/?p=9182"},"modified":"2024-01-30T13:21:17","modified_gmt":"2024-01-30T18:21:17","slug":"recycled-tunes-donation-drive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/arts-humanities-design-educational-information\/recycled-tunes-donation-drive\/","title":{"rendered":"Recycled Tunes donation drive for musical instruments kicks off Nov. 14"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>St. Petersburg College is partnering with the Gasparilla Music Foundation (GMF) to support music and education through the Recycled Tunes donation drive.<\/p>\n<p>The music instrument drive for the community outreach program will kick off at noon on Monday, Nov. 14, at SPC&#8217;s St. Petersburg\/Gibbs Campus, in Room SC-134, 6605 5<sup>th<\/sup> Ave N.<\/p>\n<p>The event will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lealman Innovation Academy will receive\u00a0an exclusive drum clinic by Patrick Hernly, SPC Music Industry\/Recording Arts (MIRA) Chairman<\/li>\n<li>MIRA Ensemble will be performing in SS lobby<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Recycled Tunes: Your Donations Make a Difference\" width=\"604\" height=\"340\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CPPEvN4E2to?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h5>Recycled Tunes donation drive all week long<\/h5>\n<p>Community members can donate gently used musical instruments at several SPC campus locations from Nov. 14 &#8211; 18. The instruments will be refurbished by Recycled Tunes and then donated to Pinellas County Schools\u2019 music programs.<\/p>\n<p>The first 40 donors at each campus location will receive a special music lover\u2019s gift bag. All donors will receive:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A two-day ticket to the 2017 Gasparilla Music Festival<\/li>\n<li>A ticket to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spcollege.edu\/mira\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SPC\u2019s MIRA (Music Industry Recording Arts)<\/a> Fall Showcase, showcasing college student performances, at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mypalladium.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Palladium Theater<\/a> on Nov. 28<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The donation drop-off times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1-5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 14 and Wednesday, Nov. 16<\/li>\n<li>4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15 and Thursday, Nov. 17<\/li>\n<li>9 a.m. \u2013 noon on Friday, Nov. 18<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The SPC drop-off locations include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SPC Clearwater Campus (ST 122), 2465 Drew St.<\/li>\n<li>SPC Seminole Campus (UP 192), 9200 113<sup>th<\/sup> N<\/li>\n<li>SPC St. Petersburg\/Gibbs Campus (SS Building), 6605 5<sup>th<\/sup> N.<\/li>\n<li>SPC Downtown Campus (DC 225), 244 2<sup>nd<\/sup> N., St. Petersburg<\/li>\n<li>SPC Allstate Center (Main Entrance \u2013Front Desk), 3200 34<sup>th<\/sup> S., St. Petersburg<\/li>\n<li>SPC Tarpon Springs Campus (Mon., Wed., Fri.
