He is a certified presenter of Franklin-Covey content including <em>7 Habits of Highly Effectively People<\/em>. His primary responsibilities included Concert Band, Woodwind Ensemble, Woodwind Studio, Music Technology and Music Education courses. Muehl has served as a high school band and choir director, and he has experience teaching string students through the Jefferson Academy in Columbus, Ohio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Muehl studied conducting with Dr. Russel Mikkelson, Mr. Richard Blatti, Mr. Marshall Haddock, and Dr. Hilary Apfelstdat. &nbsp;He has received insightful instruction and positive critiques at conducting master classes from H. Robert Reynolds, Craig Kirchhoff, Tim Reynish, &nbsp;David Effron, George Stelluto, Virginia Allen, Gary Hill, Kate Tamarkin, Roderick Macdonald, &nbsp;as well as several officers of the United States Air Force Bands. Students earn Music State Common Perquisite credits in music lessons, music ensembles, music\/aural theory, and student recital. Students also earn all 36 general education liberal arts credits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Music Industry Recording Arts (MIRA) AS Degree&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SPC\u2019s Music Industry Recording Arts (MIRA) AS degree (64 credits) is a two-year workforce program with technology focus. It prepares students to work as producers, audio engineers, composers\/songwriters in the music industry. The core curriculum includes courses in digital audio workstations, live sound engineering, studio recording techniques, critical listening, legal issues in music, practical music business, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Audio Engineering and Production (AUDIOPE) Certificate<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SPC\u2019s Audio Engineering and Production (AUDIOPE) Certificate (24 credits) is a financial aid eligible certificate that includes instruction in digital audio workstations, studio recording techniques, acoustics, live sound and professional audio production.&nbsp; The stand-alone certificate prepares workforce internships and employment.
