{"id":12329,"date":"2021-07-27T10:36:48","date_gmt":"2021-07-27T14:36:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/arts-humanities-design-educational-information\/?p=12329"},"modified":"2026-03-02T08:04:47","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T13:04:47","slug":"printmaking-collective-featured-in-exhibition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/arts-humanities-design-educational-information\/printmaking-collective-featured-in-exhibition\/","title":{"rendered":"Printmaking Collective Featured in Exhibition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beginning in August, a free exhibition of the recent works on paper by the 24 Hands Printmaking Collective will be on display for a month at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spcollege.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">St. Petersburg College<\/a>&#8216;s Clearwater Campus.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">24 Hands is made up of 12 Tampa Bay Printmakers, including myself. We work in a variety of print media, including intaglio, relief, lithography, silkscreen and mono printing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our founding members include Marjorie Green Graff, Christine Renc-Carter, Ali Norman, Holly Bird, Barbara Hubbard, Ry McCollough, Stephen Littlefield, Elizabeth Coachman, Polly Perkins, Linda Guy, Sumatra Chandratreya and Rachel Stewart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This show highlights the latest works of our group. The show&#8217;s title, Matrix, refers to the plate or formative part of the print that can be reproduced. Our members have mined the meaning of this word to produce an extensive array of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The exhibition will run from August 23- September 23, 2021 at the Crossroads Gallery, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The artist reception will be Wednesday, September 15, from 6-8 p.m. The event is free and all are welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Crossroads Gallery is located on the St. Petersburg College Clearwater Campus, at 2465 Drew St., Clearwater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more information, call (727) 791-2548.
