{"id":12093,"date":"2020-08-11T11:44:41","date_gmt":"2020-08-11T15:44:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/arts-humanities-design-educational-information\/?p=12093"},"modified":"2024-01-16T08:27:28","modified_gmt":"2024-01-16T13:27:28","slug":"spc-fall-theater-production-auditions-and-information","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/arts-humanities-design-educational-information\/spc-fall-theater-production-auditions-and-information\/","title":{"rendered":"SPC Fall Theater Production Auditions and Information"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Continuing with the successful online productions from the summer, the SPC Theater Department is back with another online production this fall!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>On the Verge<\/strong> by Eric Overmyer is the story of three well-spoken Victorian women who set out to explore Terra Incognita, the last of the unknown\u2014but, unknown to them, they are also traveling through time and witnessing the slow changes of the English language and society when they arrive in the 1950s. In the play, there is not only the wit within each palaver, but as one traveler says, &#8220;I have seen the future and it is slang.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This play holds roles for three women and one or two men (who play the seven characters the ladies meet along the way) and will be performed online via Zoom on <strong>October 22\u201324 at 7:00pm<\/strong> and <strong>October 25 at 2:00pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To audition <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/web.spcollege.edu\/survey\/30264\" target=\"_blank\">please fill out this online survey<\/a><\/strong> (which will open on August 21) and submit a one-minute comic monologue with the survey. Submissions will be accepted August 24\u201326 and the show will be cast by August 28. Auditions are open to <strong>all SPC students<\/strong> and would require students to sign up for TPP 2192 Acting Repertory (1 credit).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Questions?
