He was excited to find that through the <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Music Industry Recording Arts (MIRA) program (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.spcollege.edu\/future-students\/degrees-training\/arts-humanities-and-design\/music-industry-recording-arts\" target=\"_blank\">Music Industry Recording Arts (MIRA) program<\/a><\/strong> at St. Petersburg College he would be able to focus on Music Production. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/arts-humanities-design-educational-information\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/02\/DSC_2604-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Musician plays the keyboard on stage.\" class=\"wp-image-11853\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/arts-humanities-design-educational-information\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/02\/DSC_2604-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/arts-humanities-design-educational-information\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/02\/DSC_2604-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/arts-humanities-design-educational-information\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/02\/DSC_2604-768x513.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The MIRA program at SPC offers students a well-rounded, technology-based\neducation that incorporates creativity, technical training and business\npractices to prepare students to enter the creative and professional fields of\nrecording, production and composition. Students also get the chance to learn\nfrom award-winning artists and composers through MIRA. One of Samer\u2019s favorite\nparts of the program is that the students gain independence from learning how\nto do all the steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within the year that he has been at SPC, Samer has quickly forged friendships with other musicians. Thanks to introductions by Professor Jeff Donovick, Samer is now a member of a <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"band called White Light Radio (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/whitelightradioband\/\" target=\"_blank\">band called White Light Radio<\/a><\/strong>. They recently played at the Emerging Artist Series Showcase at the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mypalladium.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Palladium Theater (opens in a new tab)\">Palladium Theater<\/a><\/strong> as part of the MIRA 10-year anniversary. Samer also serves on the MIRA advisory board as a student representative. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Samer was highlighted for this student profile as part of Career &amp; Technical Education (CTE) Month at St. Petersburg College.
